Take the good with the bad...
Just a few here and there stuff to catch up on whats been going on the last three months.
I'm still at the same job. So no worries! I can still get a discount on toys. Sad news is... I'm still at the same job. But that'll change soon.
Summer has been going by so fast! I swear the other day I saw stores with Halloween stuff out already. I went into panic mode thinking... "Should I get Rj's costume now? I don't want them to run out of the good costumes" But somewhere somehow, I got a wake up call. I refuse to let retailers tell ME to prepare for Halloween in August.
A few weeks ago we took Rj and his best buddy Ryu to visit their favorite engine. THOMAS! They had a blast. Although, Rj wasn't too happy about meeting Sir Topham Hatt. In fact... Rj ran away from him. So Aladdin. Don't feel so bad. (Why Aladdin? If you ask, I shall tell).
Last week, Ronnie and I thought it'd be thoughtful and kind to host his sisters Wedding reception. You know. To save money. All was going great til two days before the party she tells me that 79 adults and 37 children were to be expected. I've never been speechless. NEVER.
Well, day comes and only about 70 people were there ( including what felt like 50 kids!). The day/night went well without minimal damage. So, we're happy to have helped the bride and groom. Oh my sister found out that she's a professional potato smasher. She didn't even know she had it in her. Luckily all the bridesmaids and the BRIDE provided food, utensils and drinks. We were on potato control. That's why Row's super power came in so handy.
Mother-in-laws... are another story.
In a few weeks, the family is traveling out to Maui to enjoy a good time. Courtesy of poppa Ip. We love him... and we hate him. He needs and DESERVES a vacation. So, we're just happy we get to be a part of it. TRY COORDINATING 6 PEOPLE's schedule for a week vacation!! Ay ya ya!!! But it was done and on Sept. 6th. We'll be in Maui enjoying the rays. But, we'll be careful to pack our suntan lotion in our check in baggage. They didn't say we couldn't bring pineapples back. So look forward to that!
Enough from the Atencion camp. More when Rj starts school next month. That's always an adventure!
